Shout out to USAF Range Tracking

Thanks to the personnel at Patrick Air Force Station, without whom the launch Thursday evening of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and Lunar CRater Remote Observation and Sensing Satellite would not have been possible.

Faced with the decision to make a final attempt, this week, to launch the Space Shuttle Endeavour, carrying STS-127 to the International Space Station, on Wednesday morning, tracking down the Atlantic Missile Range was configured for the launch of the fifth Atlas V this year from Cape Canaveral, in what was surely record time.
