NASA marks anniversary of lunar landing

It has been nearly 40 years since Saturn V and Apollo 11 led Neil Armstrong to take “one giant leap for mankind,” and the Houston Space Center is set to celebrate its anniversary during the next month.

Beginning June 20, Space Center Houston, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will begin the monthlong celebration of Apollo 11’s launch, leading up to a “Splashdown Party” on July 24.
