The capabilities of so-called "amateur" telescope operators these days continues to fascinate me. Interestingly, the invention of the Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) at the heart of all video and still digital cameras is a direct spin off of Color-TV cameras used to show live Moonwalks forty years ago.
