Japan prepares crucial ISS support tests

Japan (JAXA) is preparing twin tests crucial to it's expanding role in the International Space Station partnership. Countdown is underway at Tanegashima Space Center for the launch of the middle-weight H-IIB, the largest booster yet constructed by Japan's experienced space agency.

On-board will be a demonstration flight of JAXA's HTV, it's first, highly anticipated automated orbital supply vehicle. JAXA has set up an English language website to follow the mission.
