Japan (JAXA) is preparing twin tests crucial to it's expanding role in the International Space Station partnership. Countdown is underway at Tanegashima Space Center for the launch of the middle-weight H-IIB, the largest booster yet constructed by Japan's experienced space agency.On-board will be a demonstration flight of JAXA's HTV, it's first, highly anticipated automated orbital supply vehicle. JAXA has set up an English language website to follow the mission.
