Aldrin to accept Farmsworth Emmy

Buzz Aldrin, lunar module pilot on Apollo 11, will accept the Philo T. Farnsworth Emmy award, August 22. The special engineering achievement Emmy award, named after the man many credit for developing the analog television technology used in the United States from 1939 to 2009, is given for outstanding achievement on the technical side of television, ahead of the more popular entertainment ceremony, Sept. 20.
