The Pioneers are great fans of the Lunar Rainbow phenomena, a product of location, meteorology and phase angles, rare enough for many to make a predictable tourist attraction's erroneous claim of being unique to the entire world.
We've reported these beauties as often as possible, particularly because of the gossamer results of the patient work of talented photographers, like Meng Tang, above.
Environmental Graffiti has a feature study posted this morning, along with links to viewing opportunities available for the Moon and its gift of rainbows, usually at river falls that would be worth the hike at any time of day.
