I don't remember Americans being humiliated by her flight, though some were in denial, and it did put the pressure on NASA to wind up Mercury and get Gemini off the pad, the Soviets were always pulling stunts like this.<BR/>It would be an interesting study to discover how her flight truly did effect the NASA timetable, and how her flight really went.<BR/>I wonder if anyone's ever offered her a book deal, and if not, why not.
